Since I understand Mandarin, this version is not so bad.

I wonder why all overseas akb48 sister groups have heavy rotation as their first single?

idk tbh. the youtube page looks a mess lolz. but their main complaint is, "i don't understand it". idk if it's a joke but it's hilarious.

Please excuse my ignorance about this but I'm an English speaker and curious. Mandarin and Cantonese use tones to differentiate words that otherwise sound the same, right? So if you're singing in those languages, is it purely context and the written characters that make it clear what's being said?

most off. I am not an expert, but that's what my friends who study chinese say and my chinese pal tells me. She can understand Taiwanese dramas, because it's similar to her dialect, but since she cannot read the characters (she was educated here) I guess she wouldn't get it that easier with Cantonese stuff.

Another non-expert here! Maybe because it's late, I don't quite understand what you're saying @_ ( ... )

Kanji in Japanese is not simplified Chinese. It's traditional. Kinda a pain in the ass for me cos I learnt simplified Chinese since young.
