We just learned about Sakamoto Ryoma in class! I'll have to catch this... somehow. Anyone know how someone in the States goes about getting these?

I don't know about your city, but I know some like LA and SF have an "Asian" channel (it's one of the basic ones, so you don't even have to have the cable channels) where on different nights they show programming from countries like Japan, China, Korea, etc. For example, for LA they always do it on Sunday night and feature the Taiga drama with English subs.

Also, if you live near a Japanese video rental store they should have it.

Or, if you're not against downloading tv shows, you can probably download it off d-addicts.com.

Also, to add on what lane_myer said, go grab the 2003 Taiga drama " Shinsengumi!! " which is like 3209uslkdgjsl;dkjgsdg AMAZING.

I wonder how he will portray Sakamoto Ryoma, perhaps cool Ryoma? Since some portrayal have been around and latest on in JIN is definitely interesting interpretation of Ryoma.

Every interpretation I've seen of Ryoma has always either been a really cool and modern guy or a really rowdy guy but always boils down to a revolutionary. I'm not familiar with Fukuyama's acting so I don't know how he'll interpret him. Actually, I'm not even real comfortable with him in the role XD Too "pretty".

I also wonder about that. Uchino Masaaki got a good portrayal of Ryoma in JIN.
