More useless music awards

On Dec 9 the j-music disturbution service "Recochoku ", which focuses primarily on cell phone ring tones, just annouced the winners of their " Recochoku Award: Best of the Year Award 2009 ". Taking the winning spots was JUJU with JAY'ED song Ashita ga kuru nara (If Tomorrow Comes) the theme song for the movie Yomei 1 Kagetsu no Hanayome (The Bride With One Month Left to Live or April Bride) and GReeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeN's Haruka (Distant) which was the theme song to the theatrical release of ROOKIES.

Do we even have awards like this in the west? Then again this isn't as bad as the " Best Jeans " awards.
