... ... ... ... AN UPDATE! ... ... ... ...
Well, I’m bored and sitting at work so I thought I should actually update.
Life’s been interesting and a bit hectic lately. Big news is that my car broke down AGAIN...this time for good. Dyna, my baby, is no longer road worthy and would cost about half the price of a new used car to fix...so yeah. I’m putting her in my arena for now since I don’t want to part with it just yet. It was my mom’s car and my first car, so being a sentimental fool/packrat, I’m not letting go of it without a fight.
So, now I’m on the hunt for a new car. It’s been so long since I’ve lacked a vehicle that I forgot just how annoying it is. Especially since I’m in the country; it cuts down my social life to about zero. Well not exactly, but some nights it sure feels like it! :\
So recap of last week (Since I actually started writing this in Word last week...GO PROCRASTINATION!)
(This would be the weekend before last-->)Luckily, after explaining to my dad why it’s stupid to leave me alone for 4 days sans a vehicle when he could easily leave me his van while he’s on his fishing trip and go with one of the other guys in their car, (HOLY RUN ON SENTENCE BATMAN!) *deep breath* he left me his van for the weekend. So I got to go visit Faryn before and on the special day of her birth. That was so much fun! Yay Faryn! Go being born!
On Monday I got to go visit with Dane, Ivan’s brother (In the same way Copen’s mine, kewl ne?). It’s nice to actually talk with the guy; I mean MSN only lets you know a person so much. And my opinion of him only gets better, he rocks! He’s a fellow Chapter’s fan! So, we headed over to the bookstore and hung out there til around closing time and then went for a walk and got hot chocolate. Then of course, after the night was over, we proceeded to make Ivan even more paranoid by telling him we were swapping stories about him all night. That caused some fun happenings. ^^
On Tuesday I kidnapped my good friend Corey the Lumberjack! I picked him up, took him home and made him supper. We hung out for a bit then I took him to Skinners for some ice cream. It was fun just hanging out one on one, since it rarely happens. He’s going away on July 2nd and won’t be back until the end of August. -insert sad face- So I wanted some quality time before he left. We’re all going to miss that boy so much! *sigh*
Wednesday, my lighthearted feelings kinda got trampled by my father. Just when you think things are going better...but whatever. I think emotions are running a bit high right now, so he needed to clash heads...because well, he’s immature. Harsh, but true.
Thursday, my other dad took me out car shopping and though I didn’t find anything I liked, I really enjoyed hanging out with him. It’s been a while since we caught up and it was nice. I can talk to him about family stuff and he can relate and give me a different perspective on things. Sometimes, just talking things out helps....
Friday. It hit me a lot harder than I expected. It probably wouldn’t have been so bad if I didn’t venture into my mom’s room and find some pictures of us together, along with her birthday and mother’s day card I had given to her before everything. Yeah...so I just disappeared for the night. That got me a good verbal lashing from Copen... Apparently, I’m supposed to call him even if he could be out playing airsoft with the guys. He’s not too happy with me about that.....yeah.
More recently, after Friday’s disappearing act, I woke up and went to Arty’s to help get ready for her mom’s big bash on Sunday. Afterwards we went to see the fireworks with Danny at Assinaboine Park. We met up with Christian, Ivan, Leandra and Corey at different intervals and had a good time. Ivan abandoned Art and I at the park, luckily I had his phone so he had to come back. (I jokingly took it as collateral earlier...didn’t think I’d actually have to use it. :\ lol) Silly boy.
Sunday was the big bash! It was really fun, we cooked, served, bartended, did the sound (A lot harder than we anticipated...since we didn’t expect people to randomly SCREAM into the microphone or go and change settings on us...oi 0.o) and had a good time.
There’s a lot of stuff going on right now, most of which I won’t go into because it’ll just become rants about certain people...so yeah. I think I just need to calm down and unwind. Easier said than done, but I’m bound and determined to start getting things sorted out. I want to get my mind in order before university starts so that this year I’ll try and hopefully give a damn about it.
So, that turned out to be a pretty long update. *pats self on back*
