A Wizard of Mars Recap

So, I just finished A Wizard of Mars in one seriously nonstop sitting, and as promised, have chronicled my reactions. I tried to keep them organized, but kind of lost the thread somewhere around chapter 3, so forgive me for a lot of squeeing, capslock, and lulzing.

I also did google earth screencaps of all the places that they visited (or at least ( Read more... )

I AM GLAD I AM UNDERSTOOD!

I know that my own giddiness comes from the fact that they have been so OTP, ever since, umm, my very early teen years? (Whenever I read High Wizardry, which was, haha, so long ago.) But I totally get you - getting into a relationship, for them, is a pretty simple thing. (Even if they are... so shy and occasionally awkward and not really sure how this Epic BFF True Love Thing works) It's more, well, just getting along and figuring out balancing the relationship with the friendship with the wizardry. They don't have to figure out how to fit together, because they already do - they just have to figure out this newest piece of their relationship.

Aaaalso, all of those fic ideas sound fantastic. In my case, all I currently want is Darryl and Ronan teasing Kit occasionally.

That one moment right there is probably cemented as one of my favorites for, umm, this entire series? IF IT WEREN'T FOR THAT VERY LAST SCENE, I MEAN.
But in all seriousness, I just think it was so FANTASTIC. Because he wasn't thinking that she was hot and awesome in the skimpy Martian clothing, she was at her hottest when she was deadly and competent and ready to kick some Martian ass. And it perfectly highlighted the fact that, well, up until then they'd really just been seeing each other as BFFs first.
My thoughts were not nearly so coherent upon seeing it though. It was more like: /EYEHEEEAARRRRTSSSSSSS <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

(Oh, I've been meaning to ask you. I know you're super busy packing for your trip, but I was wanting some advice on a bit of Dairine/Roshaun fanwork. It can wait, of course, but if you're interested just hit me up when you have time!)

Yup, I liked that too.

Also I enjoyed reading your recap. :-)
