So i'm reading an article from the Jerusalem Post

I love how even though the IAEA (the International Atomic Energy Agency) and the CIA claim that they cannot find anything that indicates that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, all the while Ahmadinejad denying any such intentions, people still freely make the claim that it is, as if it were not in question.
"A separate meeting was held Friday afternoon to discuss the crisis over Iran's continuing nuclear development program. [emphasis mine] Prior to the meeting, diplomats said they would discuss what to do next in an effort to persuade the Iranian government to drop its nuclear ambitions."
How do you persuade someone to not do something they already aren't doing?
