Well, it's official... I finished The Da Vinci code after having bought it from Walmart on Friday.
He he, now I have an excuse to do nothing in Steve's class, but it's not entirely my fault, that book was a good read. You totally don't expect the ending and the author misdirects you all the time; it's the kind of book I like. More than that, I like the way he kept jumping into each character's mind, I want to do that for my novels.
But now here comes the best part: I didn't think much of it at the time, but my mom picked up a second book, "Cracking The Da Vinci Code" I think is what it was. She said she "wanted to look at it", and I had intentions of reading it as well. After all, it said "facts" on the cover; the book was after all fiction and the author was bound to bend the truth a bit... but it turns out these "facts" are more like religious propaganda. Needless to say, I won't be reading it.
It is however interesting to note, there were actually 175 panes of glass on the pyramid, rather than 666; and one of the character's names is a anagram of some other author's names.
Overall, I'm happy and tired at the moment; the good news is that I don't have to go to church tomorrow!
