Thank you for the wonderful recap.

Caroline telling Stefan that she would remember this moment in a hundred years… for the both of them.
Yes, this touched me the most, too.

to have Damon talk about all that Katherine led them to and *not* mention Elena as a positive was not only an oversight, out of character for Damon, but it was also a direct contradiction of Damon's "death"bed speech to Elena
Exactly. I'm glad it wasn't just me that found this part funny.

So a friend was wondering why Kelly had that bloody nose and was vomiting, as well as Vicki. I figure it's because Hell is dying without Cade around to power it.
I doubt that, because remember Kai had the same problem? So I think it's rather a "normal" problem ghosts(?)/zombies(?) experience when leaving hell.

My randoms:
- I initially thought Kelly was the person causing mayhem in the beginning scene, but obviously it was Vickie.
- Poor Matty now being an orphan (or did Peter survive?); but oh Kelly, how could you do all of this, hurting your son all over again; even if he abandoned you, you abandoned him first and he was still your freaking son!!!
- I actually loved Ric's speech about forgiveness, loss and how that made them all a family; not because of Ric, but because what he said was so touching and true (even if it doesn't really apply to him anymore, so yeah it felt weird coming from him, but still beautiful speech).
-> Ric reminds me a lot of Stefan s1: He's holding great speeches, playing the saint, acting as if he's a big part of the Scooby Gang, when he's not (anymore), being aloof and selfish and judging others when he himself is at fault, not really caring about anyone but his family (=his kids). Definitely not like s1-4 Ric anymore.
- Oh, I love Kat, she is so brilliant in such horrible ways, staying in the background and letting her pawns do the dirty work for her :) It was so typical of her seeing right through Damon's trap and not taking the bait but instead watching from afar (I actually thought that this 'game on' came from her), sending the necklace to mock them and Kelly to deliver her message prooving once again that she is always one step ahead of everyone else.
- Poor Bonnie loosing her magic right after she'd regained it. But won't her magic return after some time?
- No matter how I feel about their loveydovey relationship (and I think it really has improved ever since Enzo has died) Enzo's speech to Bonnie was so sweet and wonderful, he is so very much in love with her, enough to give her up so she can live and get happy. So selfless.

So will Vickie manage to ring the bell to the end this time? Will MF be destroyed and the Scooby Gang move on (like Buffy end of s7)? And is Bonnie really dead or just badly wounded? Was she affected like this through the siphoning or the bell?

How the writers intend to fix this whole mess with just one ep left to go is beyond me. My prediction though is that Bonnie might become the new queen of hell now with Enzo by her side (I guess now that Enzo only had to die for Bonnie to still have a happy ending when she inevitably had to die because she'd be reunited with the love of her life). I'd love for her to get a happier ending but I can't fathom how they could be able to get her back unless they somehow manage to reverse time (like in the books), because with her nose bleeding it pretty much looked like her brain got damaged (which will/has cause(d) her death?) and you cannot just help that with CPR. But if they'd actually went there and reversed time, then all the stories, everything our beloved characters have been through, etc. would become null and void, so I doubt the writers will do that.
I also wonder what will happen to Kat. I think since they do have a weapon against her, it will be put to use, otherwise the whole forging of the weapon would have been moot, so I guess she won't survive especially since nobody would feel save while Kat still walks this earth; but maybe after whomever has killed her, the writers could hint at her still being out there somewhere? That would be cool and open up possibilities for her showing up on TO, too. Who knows?

Only one ep to go now. Oh how are we gonna survive this??? sniff sniff sniff

Considering his parents, he's better off as an orphan, but yeah, when we last saw Peter, he was still alive. As for Kelly... ugh, she always was a terrible mother, though, right?

- I actually loved Ric's speech about forgiveness.

Maybe I'll be able to appreciate upon rewatch after Damon has his happy ending, but right now, ugh, I just can't get past what a dick Ric has become.

-> Ric reminds me a lot of Stefan s1.

I can see why some might see that, but Stefan was never an outright dick to people on a consistent basis. He had his moments, but Ric has pretty much been non-stop Ric-dick since he came back to Damon, to Stefan, to Tyler, treating Bonnie like she's not worth saving and turning on Caroline on a dime. Stefan was NEVER that bad.

(I actually thought that this 'game on' came from her)

Nah, I'm pretty darn sure that was Vicki too. In retrospect, knowing that it's Vicki, it's obvious it's her from the haircolor. Vicki has just brown hair, while Katherine has dark, dark brown, nearly black hair.

But won't her magic return after some time?

Yeah, Bonnie got her magic back when she let go of Enzo and worked with the girl. At least it seemed that way to me.

So will Vickie manage to ring the bell to the end this time? Will MF be destroyed?

I doubt it; I just can't see Julie destroying Mystic Falls.

And is Bonnie really dead or just badly wounded? Was she affected like this through the siphoning or the bell?

She was affected by the bell. Remember the ringing of the fork affected her, so the bell would as well. She just wasn't in MF when it was rang the first time so we didn't see it then.

How the writers intend to fix this whole mess with just one ep left to go is beyond me.

Me too, but they will, they totally will.

My prediction though is that Bonnie might become the new queen of hell now with Enzo by her side

Not possible. Bonnie would have to go to Hell in order for that to happen and Bonnie hasn't done anything even remotely bad enough to send her to Hell.

(I guess now that Enzo only had to die for Bonnie to still have a happy ending when she inevitably had to die because she'd be reunited with the love of her life).

If that happens, it is SO not a happy ending for Bonnie. Dying in her early twenties? No, no, no.

I'd love for her to get a happier ending

I don't think that will be necessary. She can find love again. Remember, Stefan and Elena, and Stefan and Rebekah, and Damon for Katherine, thought that they were the love of each other's lives and it wasn't the case. Bonnie is very young, she has PLENTY of time to find love again.

because with her nose bleeding it pretty much looked like her brain got damaged (which will/has cause(d) her death?) and you cannot just help that with CPR.

People get nose bleeds ALL THE TIME and it does not mean even remotely that there is brain damage. In fact, Bonnie has had several nose bleeds due to her magic and that it might cause brain damage has never ever come up.

But if they'd actually went there and reversed time, then all the stories, everything our beloved characters have been through, etc. would become null and void, so I doubt the writers will do that.

Yeah, that's so not going to happen.

Who knows?

Nah, Nina left TVD in s6, and will have done two episodes (if you count the voice-over in the s7 finale)... she's not going to pop up on TO. I think it's safe to say that she's done with all things TVD-related, including TO. Katherine, I imagine, will be done and finished once and for all.

Only one ep to go now. Oh how are we gonna survive this??? sniff sniff sniff

I don't know. I really don't!
