Alas, there was no point. That was never brought up about the fact that the only reason that Enzo was able to break free of Sybil was because of all he had gone through as an Augustine vampire. That's another thing that did disappoint about this season. Ah well.

But again, it led nowhere. Alaric (nor Matt--although, it's really Ric I hold accountable here since Damon *did* kill Tyler) never apologized to Damon, never acknowledged that Damon was the one who saved his daughters and yet Ric killed him for doing that. UGH!

Did the writers make some kind of decision regarding that? If so, why? Or was it rather accidental snow-ball effect that eventually no one knew how to properly fix?
Or did it slip through the cracks? I just don't know. It saddens me greatly though. It is my biggest regret of my biggest show-related regret: Alaric's return.
