The promo just about erased my ability to type anything coherent right now! LOL! But two weeks!!! How are we going to survive this?!?

Tell me about it! I've watched it about a gazillion times! And I switched out the version I have for the extended one which adds about one more second to the kiss where he pulls her a bit more and she looks like she's reaching for him!

I did think that the dream Katherine gave Nadia was a not-so-subtle rip-off of the Damon/Rose scene, but what saved it for me was Nadia repeating "I'm looking for my mother" line. This also made the flashbacks seem not so pointless. Well, they *were* kind of pointless, but in the end they seemed to be all pointing to that one, recurring sentence & it worked for me overall.

Ah, that's a good point. I'll bear that in mind when I rewatch the episode.

But what are they going to do with Tyler?!

I'm wondering if he'll be used as a way to make Stefan jealous? Hmmm........... Awaken Stefan to realizing some latent-Caroline-shaped feelings?!?!??!

I think it's really a ( ... )

I agree this was a wonderful episode...Been loving TVD so much lately and I enjoyed the heck of out this episode...except for the Nadia flashbacks, those were kinda useless.,..I guess they wanted to tie that with her search for her mom and Katherine's reaction and blah blah blah...I guess it didn't bother me that much in the end..but I would've been fine without them.

Katherine always has been and will always be one of my favorite characters from TVD. No matter what she did, I love her. But it was just time for her to go. It's a bold step but it needed to be done even if ( I agree with you on this) there's a part of me that will always think of what could have been had they gone a completely different route and had decided to redeem a human!Katherine who had found her soul, friendship, then maybe love with Matt Donovan, humanity in her new human selfWe will never know ( ... )

The whole "Where is my mother" throughout the episode and Nadia's inability to find her tied into her inability to see and thus have Katherine right in front of her at the end, I see now as pointed out by others, but as I don't care about Nadia I just don't care.

but I would've been fine without them.

Ditto.

Yup, yup, yup. This so very hard all around.

So, since the preview is up there I guess it's safe to talk about it (just those scenes of course).I do watch the ( ... )

I do watch the previews (that's all I watch), but I do watch those. And this one (well, part of it), I've watched a gazillion times! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I suppose I should feel bad about it" - Mmm, nah, I'm pretty sure we're supposed to be glad that bastard is gone. Rot in Hell, Wes Maxfield! Maybe you and Katherine can share a bunk. :P

It is so good to have Elena back, even if it's only for a quick scene at the end so far and she has the enhanced Ripper virus in her blood. And of course she only had eyes for Damon - stupid Katherine can't comprehend that they have true love, not so-called epic wuv. *snort*

Caroline...well, I see your point, yes. I'm hoping that her Damon-hate really is dying now that she has no choice but to see how happy he makes Elena and vice-versa. On the other hand, I was thrilled she told Tyler Smallwood - I mean Lockwood - off like that. Yay! It's about time that asshole got verbally shut down! Now can Enzo or one of the Travelers or someone kill him, pretty please? With a dead Katherine on top?

Heh...I guess I am going on about Elena's much older evil twin getting her just desserts. I enjoyed her as a villain, but that's not the same thing as loving her ( ... )

It really is. Really, really! I'm hoping that Tyler's point in sticking around now is to make Stefan jealous and to awaken his Caroline-shaped feelings!

Now can Enzo or one of the Travelers or someone kill him, pretty please? With a dead Katherine on top?

Just let someone kill him, pretty, pretty please! It's not too much to ask, is it?

Buh-bye, Katerina Petrova! May you never be seen or heard from and never darken a doorway again! :D

Caroline Dries did confirm that they sent Katherine to a version of "Hell" because others have come back from the Other Side before and this was a way to make it clear that Katherine Pierce is NOT coming back. So ding dong, the bitch is dead! Hell to the yeah!

Oh, yeah, and Liv needs to keep her claws off Jeremy. Still, hopefully she won't stick around for too long.Yeah, I had hope for her in her last appearance, but that's alllllllllllll gone ( ... )

I honestly hope this is what we will get on the next episode and there is not some kind of baiting there. We had some of those before.

Honestly, I'm fine if that's the case because we still have seven episodes to go. There's a lot of stuff to get through. I'm just happy regardless of the crazy mayhem Damon's pulled, Elena can't help but still be crazy in love with him and they're making out.

So will only comment here if ok.

Aww, I'd prefer if you have the time to comment on there too... It takes a lot of time to write these up and the depressingly low number of comments is well... depressing.

[...]completely cut myself from tumlbr etc. Sooo much better. I mentioned a few times already. I'm enjoying the show so much more and my heart is lighter and happier.

Yup, that cesspool of negativity is EVUL! Just staying away from it all has made me enjoy the show so much more overall. I'm LOVING it. :D

at the end I'm pretty sure she went straight to hell. At last.Yup, Caroline Dries confirmed it. "It's unlike anything we've seen ( ... )

Thank you for your reply to my comments. I can go and overanalyse as long as my DE are happy.

I have a feeling we might have a cliff-hanger at the end of the season. Probably something in relation to their relationship or status of their condition. Or maybe some kind of sacrifice (Damon for Elena???) Hope I'm making sense. Now that they are in the same or similar predicament maybe the antidote will have to do with each other (e.g. one dying for the other one to live etc - those are just romantic ideas in my brain. Probably wishful thinking. Or something that we mentioned previously about Damon sacrificing himself for someone like Jeremy or refusing to feed and dying etc. My brain is reeling. But I will hope that you are right that no matter what the preview will bring next ( ... )

Well, I'm thinking that's a given, LOL!

I could see something like that playing out.

I don't hate or dislike Tyler as much as you.

I actually don't hate or dislike him, believe it or not. I like Tyler, I just think his time has come, actually I think his time has passed and I don't like him with Caroline AT ALL. I LOVE all the other characters, and Tyler I just like, so comparatively, he just really falls flat.

Hope I replied to your feedback correctly. It is the first time I used your replies and pasted them.

Almost. You messed up on the italics. After you quote me you need to end the italics by putting the slash there < /i > without the spaces so that you can tell my comments from yours. You're getting there. :)

OK, I get the point of the Katherine/Nadia pretty pretend fantasy, but I kept thinking of when Damon did it for Rose and it just felt like a rip-off of that scene and that one just felt so much more genuine. And I can't even say it's because I cared more for Rose than I do Nadia. Yes, I dearly wanted Nadia dead and she's so beyond not my favorite, but I certainly wasn't overly fond of Rose and I wasn't impressed with Lauren Cohan's portrayal of her character either. I just felt that the parallelism here didn't do it for me. Or maybe I just really care *that* little for Nadia.

I feel like it was directly related to the Damon/Rose moment, but the dichotomy is that immediately after with Damon/Rose she died and you felt bad. Immediately before the perfect day it was all about Katherine being a murderer and a liar. I don't think it was as resonant as the Rose moment, but it wasn't supposed to be.

And naturally, Rose's whole suffering was because of Katherine too!

I see what you're saying, but that doesn't quite work for me, however florencia7 pointed out that Nadia [kept] repeating "I'm looking for my mother" throughout the episode and that made me realize that Nadia's inability to find Katherine tied into her inability to see and thus have Katherine right in front of her at the end, I see that poignancy now, but as I don't care about Nadia I just don't, well, care.

And, honestly, I just didn't feel that bad after Rose died because frankly I didn't care all that much for her either. And I still don't get why Damon cared all that much about this random chick who threatened Elena's life, showed up and squatted in their home and he screwed a few times. Sure they became friends of sorts, and she decided to take the wolf bite for him, but the whole death bed thing? He knew her for like two seconds and she threatened Elena's life! I guess I get him doing it for her for her taking the bite for him, but being all emo and crying over it? Yeah, still don't get that.

And naturally, Rose's whole suffering ( ... )
