5.15 - 'Gone Girl' (The Vampire Diaries)
Well, here's the last episode of Vampire Diaries until March 20! Wah! Ah well, such is life (amidst stupid unexpected winter storms in Georgia!).

....that is me recovering from the preview! I never watch those. Only did so because you did post it and..... yeah still recovering. I honestly hope this is what we will get on the next episode and there is not some kind of baiting there. We had some of those before.
Anyhow, I only managed to watch episode 14 today just before I proceeded with 15. So will only comment here if ok. I'm so happy that I follow your rule of not following on spoilers and completely cut myself from tumlbr etc. Sooo much better. I mentioned a few times already. I'm enjoying the show so much more and my heart is lighter and happier.
So Katherine is gone. I worried a bit at the end when she couldn't pass through Bonnie that there might be again another "obstacle" that would stop her from dying but at the end I'm pretty sure she went straight to hell. At last. Though just like you I did enjoy her this season. Nina did amazing job portraying her. I cracked up so many times during her scenes. But she messed around with Elena and the boys too much. It was her time to go.
Talking about the boys - I think it is safe to say that they are on a way to be closer than ever. fighting for each other and respecting each other. I haven't been annoyed with Stefan for several episodes now. He really loves Damon and will do anything to help and save him. Episode 14 - him not betraying Damon with Elena (hotel scene) and him not killing Damon at Elena's "suggestion".
Damon's heart was again broken while he was thinking that Elena wanted him killed. I'm sure he must have been kind of relieved when he was told that it was Katherine who screwed him around. But now he will have to deal with the consequences of his short fuse. I'm thinking the part of the preview where Elena says she can't stop loving him is after they argue over what he did and screwed up during this Elena possession period.
Cannot wait how will they deal with this DE ripper situation. Are they going to become Bonnie and Clyde of ripperdom? Or can they actually be a threat to each other with their vampire blood lust? My brain is a bit muddled at this stage. The rest of the season will most likely deal with this problem and I'm ready as long as there is some sweet DE loving at the end.
Stefan stabbing Katherine out of Elena's body thus sending her to her end - poignant. I hoped it would be him and wasn't disappointed.
Caroline - yep still a hypocrite but I will hope that the writers are heading somewhere with her constant bashing of Damon.
I think she and Tyler might be over. I want to believe that we are heading for Steroline but sometimes I still am not sure. Don't know why.
Bonnie has really been looking good lately.
I actually found Nadia's departure sad. I did feel sorry for her.
As always I enjoyed your review and also all the comments of your followers. I always come out of this feeling better and ready for more.
Oh - and I just love my Damon!!!!! That will be my constant.
(oh - re episode 14 hotel scene - don't you think the music they used for the scene was a bit soft porny? Maybe it is me? but it was fun : ))

Honestly, I'm fine if that's the case because we still have seven episodes to go. There's a lot of stuff to get through. I'm just happy regardless of the crazy mayhem Damon's pulled, Elena can't help but still be crazy in love with him and they're making out.

Aww, I'd prefer if you have the time to comment on there too... It takes a lot of time to write these up and the depressingly low number of comments is well... depressing.

Yup, that cesspool of negativity is EVUL! Just staying away from it all has made me enjoy the show so much more overall. I'm LOVING it. :D

Yup, Caroline Dries confirmed it. "It's unlike anything we've seen before. We've seen characters appear to Bonnie (Kat Graham]) the anchor, and go through Bonnie and that's their initiation into the other side. When Katherine died, that didn't happen and [instead] she's ripped out of Bonnie's arms and sucked into wherever by some dark void. We don't say anything religious like Heaven or Hell, but that's the implication-she's going to a dark world. I don't think we'll explore it so much as in the future, we'll use something similar happening like that on the other side where it becomes a bit of disarray over there and people get sucked into oblivion," Dries says. "What we wanted when we were writing the Katherine story line this season was to really deliver on her as a character. This show is known for bringing people back to the dead, so death didn't ever feel final; they could hop over from the other side if we feel desperate. So we wanted to say, 'No, she's gone.'"
So, yeah, she is GONE!

I'm hoping this will tie in together and that they will use this Tyler/Caroline situation for Stefan to get jealous and it will awaken Caroline-shaped feelings in Stefan.

I have a feeling we might have a cliff-hanger at the end of the season. Probably something in relation to their relationship or status of their condition. Or maybe some kind of sacrifice (Damon for Elena???) Hope I'm making sense. Now that they are in the same or similar predicament maybe the antidote will have to do with each other (e.g. one dying for the other one to live etc - those are just romantic ideas in my brain. Probably wishful thinking. Or something that we mentioned previously about Damon sacrificing himself for someone like Jeremy or refusing to feed and dying etc. My brain is reeling. But I will hope that you are right that no matter what the preview will bring next episode at the end it will all be ok. Even if et the end of season or next one.

I actually don't hate or dislike him, believe it or not. I like Tyler, I just think his time has come, actually I think his time has passed and I don't like him with Caroline AT ALL. I LOVE all the other characters, and Tyler I just like, so comparatively, he just really falls flat.
