Alright, so this is very, very late to the party, but here it is - my art post for dragonbigbang!
Title: A Garden of Lamentation

Summary: Distraught after losing his wife, Lord Maxwell can't summon the strength to continue on. However, a chance encounter leads him to a hidden land of dragons and a new life. But is it the life he needs? Or is there something greater waiting for him?
Title Banner. I wanted to go with something dark and brooding that reflected the moodiness of the story. Overall I'm quite happy with how it turned out. The other piece I made was a matching chapter / section divider.
The photos are my own and were taken at Austin Botanical Gardens in Zilker Park, Austin, Texas. The dragon images are from a stock photo and digitally altered, as real life conspired against me doing my own, hand-drawn dragons (which is what I wanted to do). Anyway, I hope you like them. It's my first time doing artwork for something like this and I was afraid I'd bitten off more than I could chew.
