Writing Updates

I'm on part five out of what will probably be 7 or 8. I've set myself a goal of having the rough draft done by 4/15, that way I'll have the rest of April to work on the MTB challenge. I don't know if this BB will be as long as Drifting through Doorways or not... we'll have to see. I'm thinking it's going to be shorter, at least in rough draft form. I am ecstatic that I finally, finally pushed past part three (part four was easy - it was just an interlude).

Battle scenes are not my forte.

Speaking of Drifting, it's weird how the kudos/comments come in clumps. I'll go a long time without receiving comments or kudos and whatnot, and then I get an influx.  It's interesting.  As soon as the BB and MTB are over I'm going to go back to it and really start turning it into non-fanfic. So far I've only got Misha's replacement character down solid -- enough so that I want to try doing a portrait of him. His name is Nico.

Meanwhile (as soon as I can) I need to make a new pdf of Stealing Rapunzel so I can email it my sister, so she can read it on her kindle. I would have sworn I did this already, but the only pdfs I can find are the old version where it's in present tense, before I went back and changed it all into past tense -- and that was an absolute pain in the ass, too.  But worth it! I still can't decide if I want to find an agent or try and self-publish. I could do my own cover art too if need be - actually my brother Allan would be a great model for my villain (LMAO!) I'd just have to make him not blond... hmmm. You know, I never thought about it, but yeah, I think I may have actually modeled Harold, my villain - looks only - on my eldest brother.  .... I don't think I'll tell him about that, though. Somehow I think he'd be less than flattered.
