Today I bought a cactus with a green stalk and pink bulbous top. I had a few of these as a kid and used to really like them, so, nostalgia purchase. Of course the former ones eventually died because I didn't water them enough (which really says how badly I neglected them -- I mean, how hard is it to kill a cactus?): hopefully this one will fair ( Read more... )

In 24 hours the pod has sprung a large stinkhorn, and another stinkhorn has appeared out of nowhere.  Now I'm starting to get worried.
