A/N: Ironically, because I was huddled in a snowbank without heat, light or internet, this has taken a while to post. Yes, I'm writing what I know...

Laura abandoned her unexpected visitor on the cabin floor and rushed upstairs. Soaked to the skin and fighting hypothermia, she needed dry clothes.
But the bedroom was half-filled with snow, the windows broken out and her bed and suitcase covered. There was no time to register fear; she snatched blankets from the closet and pulled the door closed.
She found the man had stripped down to his underwear and was delirious. “Hot....” he moaned.
Terrified that he would die on her, she staggered to the bathroom and collected towels. She rubbed the man's thick limbs until he grumbled, “Tickles."
Shedding her own sopping clothes, she dried off quickly and wrapped a blanket around her shoulders.
The room was freezing. The fire was down to a few embers. She stoked it carefully and it drew; the chimney apparently wasn't blocked. Adding wood, she got it roaring.
"Sir..." Laura tugged at the man's arm. "You've got to move." There was no way she could lift or even help him walk. He was as sturdy as a muscular steer. She urged him to come close to the stove and lie on the thick rug.
Groaning, he just made it before collapsing. Clutching the blankets around her shaking body, Laura looked down at the stranger, then made her decision. After all, it was what they did in every movie she'd ever seen about being trapped in the snow!
Lying behind him, she covered them with blankets and tucked her arm under his; slid her leg between his. Holding the warming man tight against her bare chest, she finally stopped trembling.
"Hello?" he rasped.
Laura cleared her throat. "Yes?"
"I'm Bill."
"I'm Laura."
"Glad to meet yah." Drowsy words that slurred off to sleep.
Burying her cold nose between his shoulder blades, she joined him.
