SOBS AT YOU author i really, really loved this fic ): words cannot describe how much i loved it. i'd only like to say that it would have been nice if you put a warning for attempted suicide, abuse, and rape? although all of the scenes were relativity short, you're very, very talented with writing and conveying emotions, and i think that's what makes it triggering.
that being said, i will just move on to say how much i love your way of describing emotions and showing them. they are really hard hitting, and you deliver them with amazing execution and perfect timing. and sometimes it's not even the feelings, but the thoughts, too. and all the intended things said that were never actually said.
i also loved this kind of atmosphere you set up for jonghyun. he doesn't expect anything new, his life is as dull and depressing as he makes it out to be, possibly even more. but then there's this little glimmer of hope, this little light that opens up, and the reader realizes it, when he spots the guitar. and quote time ):
He fell to the floor, falling in the pile of broken glass, and he felt the pieces slicing through the soft skin of his arm, his palms, the side of his face, and he thought, I should’ve just jumped.
like i said before, the atmosphere around jonghyun is just so dull and dreary, that the thought, i should've just jumped, seems almost absent minded.
He didn’t notice the way the peachy color of Kibum’s skin faded a shade, or the way the temperature of his body lowered and became just slightly colder than usual.
It was the way a star would fade in the night sky.
okay so at this point i basically was going OMG DON'T DO THIS TO ME, AUTHOR, DON'T YOU DARE DO THIS TO ME.
When he reached his climax, there were stars behind his eyelids. He opened them and saw Kibum.
this sentence is so beautiful in so many different ways ;______;

Ahh I apologize for that! I've gotten so used to not putting warnings on my g-ri fics that I completely didn't think of adding it! As for short scenes, I always find myself writing things with so much more emotion and feeling when the scenes are short than with super descriptive, long paragraphs. I lose my train of thought that way. But I always feel that I'm not good with conveying emotions, so the fact that you felt it is very reassuring.
That is exactly how I wanted to portray Jonghyun, his life being completely routine and it's gotten to the point where nothing even excites him like it used to, and he just kind of doesn't give a care in the world anymore.
