Oh my lord. I do believe I might actually be dead.
Had a wicked night last night - we decided to turn Valentines Day into Singles Day, and it was such a laugh. We had our Valentines Formal in halls - it was really sweet, heart-shaped place mats, red sweets, heart-shaped desert etc etc. Was nice to get all dressed up too - makes us feel all posh!
Then we went on to Vodka Revolution - looooove that place, they have the most amazing drinks. Pictures to come of me before/after the pitcher of alcohol (and whatever anyone tries to say, I didn't drink it all myself) which was scrummy. Then they kicked us out at 11 (which, quite frankly, was rather rude) so we decided to walk to Ocean. It was raining, but we were a little too un-sober to notice. We were following Irish guy, but we lost him...so ended up wandering aimlessly around Nottingham at 11pm - asked a taxi driver how to get to Ocean, he directed us down some dodgy little alleyway - the three of us walked down there in formal dresses, stilettos and covered by Jo's pashmina ...... and ended up in the bus station.
Eventually found our way to Ocean by about 11.30 and it was wicked. Cheesy music ensued, along with lots of dancing...got to about 1.30 and I was shattered, but the others wanted to stay so we did. Gave up dancing at about 2 because my feet were beyond painful, and then we jumped in a taxi about 2.45. Last song they played was "You Raise Me Up" which cued much internal squeeing on my part (if you know why, how cuuuuuute!!) ...... and I was tucked up in bed by 3am, which I thought was rather impressive.
Even more impressive though, was the fact that I managed to drag myself to my 9am this morning, which means that I feel highly accomplished, even if my feet/legs/arms ache like crazy. Plus, the fact that I'm awake, dressed and semi-functioning means that I might actually get my work done this morning so that I can sleep all afternoon. Supposed to be going out again tonight but I'm not sure that I've really got the energy.
I can tell you one thing though, flat shoes if I do go out!!!
