Also, when I hear or think "Lost," my mind follows it with "ah-ah!"...
You know, like "Flash!" ... yeah, I don't know...
I went back and checked my "Lost" posts. Here's my checklist of goals from a month ago and where we are now, as we stand on the cliff, looking into the abyss and saying, "Who put this abyss here? And why? Is that an office in the side of this cliff? Who puts an office in a cave in the side of a freakin' cliff? AND WHY?":
1. Ben dies horribly (oldie but goodie) (THEY BETTER NOT LET ME DOWN HERE ... I'll settle for him becoming the next Smokey as long as the process kills him first ... horribly...)
2. Smoke Monster dies horribly (DITTO)
3. Sheila Kelley dies semi-horribly for being just another asshole henchman (SERIOUSLY, WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST GIVE ALL THE HENCHMEN A RED STAR FLEET UNIFORM? THEY ALL DIED, BUT THEN AGAIN, THEY ALL DESERVED IT)
4. Somebody finally ends the Jack/Sawyer pissing contest (WE'LL ASSUME IT'S ENDED)
5. Juliet comes back to say, "Wow, I really thought it worked..." (I UPDATED IT RECENTLY TO "I TOLD YOU IT WORKED!" FOLLOWED BY "YES, YOU DID, BLONDIE, YOU DID..." INSERT KISSING AND "AWWWING" FROM YOU/EYE-ROLLING FROM ME HERE...)
6. Widmore just dies ... that guy always was a dick... (I WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED A LITTLE INFO ON "THE RULES," THOUGH, DAMMIT ... THEN AGAIN, MAYBE HE'S NOT REALLY DEAD! AND EVEN IF HE IS, HURLEY COULD ASK HIM ABOUT THE RULES! C'MON, HURLEY!)
7. Richard gets to kiss his ghost wife before diving into a pit of molten lava (OH, WELL!)
8. Somebody, somehow stops Hurley and the "Star Wars" analogies ... Please! (WE STILL HAVE TWO AND A HALF HOURS TO GO...)
9. NEW ONE: Daniel gets a freakin' apology from his mother ... "I'm sorry I sent you back in time just so I could shoot you, really I am, but you have to understand it was for the best..." "That's not an apology, Mother..." "Well, it's as close as I get..."
So, that's it. I may not get to see the episode till sometime tomorrow. I'll avoid spoilers as much as I can. Wouldn't want to find out about the big SPACESHIP scene beforehand, you know?
