Oh, did I mention I have five tickets to Terminator Salvation on opening night currently reposing in my wallet?
Yeah, baby. As I said to shaula82, frankly I think I'm more excited about the Terminator aspect than the Bale aspect. But then I hadn't allowed myself to watch anything other than the brief teaser I caught on telly one evening. Once we established what session we aimed for, I went to YouTube.
Then there was this:
Honestly I think I went into shock. Just holy mother of fuck the rightness of Bale as John Connor. And I'm not even saying that as a Bale fanatic. John CONNOR! Like, dude, name synonymous with my generation or something. Right from Edward Furlong back into the past with Linda Hamilton in that ridiculous pink cardigan and now this. Zomg. Name I've grown up with finally made flesh and such fierce flesh no less. Yep, pretty much went right back to my reaction when I first read the news.
Now I am so ridiculously excited I can't even contain the thought in my head for more than a second at a time. Not that, you know, I have high expectations or anything. And watching that four minute clip does kinda feel like I've watched the whole movie already so I'm hoping that will prove to be totally not the case. Also, yay NIN track and yay Aussie actor.
I wonder if we'll be told what happened to Sarah Connor.
