Home again by lunch but this time I wasted the day by putting together a disc of music for the Leonard Cohen guy at work who started a conversation yesterday by asking me what I thought of Antony --- totally confused the fuck out of me because he put an 'h' in there so I had no bloody idea who he was talking about --- which ended up with both of us flailing about Peter Gabriel and Laurie Anderson.
As a result, he brought me Mister Heartbreak today and I've rediscovered the eerie awesomeness of Passion. I really should listen to that album more. Me suspects me musical brain hath evolved enough to appreciate it much more. Hell, if I can listen to Howard Shore's unsynced score for The Cell, there's a hell of a lot more pleasure to be had out of Petey scoring The Last Temptation Of Christ.
I still need to read that book.
Writing group tomorrow night --- *stifled groan* --- with busy weekend ahead and even busier next week. Still, it's always good when you can stretch your birthday out for a whole month. Hee.
