i'm happy you like the album that much and that curt's turning out to be quite a talent on his own. i *adored* him in the early days. what a pretty boy! i loved the way he looked in Everybody Wants to Rule the World -- those little round sunglasses, the ballet slippers! beautiful. but you're right that he looks fabulous now as he ages.
hey, did roland have anything to do with the production of this album, or is it all curt's?
He certainly is ... far far subtler than the blazing piercing light of Raoul.
Oh god, Vicki ... just goes to show how different generations we are ... the sunnies, the slippers, that terrible jacket, the AWFUL pink shirt, the stupid ponytail, every single one of those things make me want to scream and throw things about and set them on fire. God, how I wish we could just wipe out the Eighties in terms of clothes and hair. The music I can more or less tolerate. In fact, I'm fairly certain all those things have blinded me to the gorgeousness of Curt! ARGH!
None at all. That was pretty much the first thing I looked for in the liner notes. He is thanked but that's only in the general mentions. Interestingly enough, I was reading yesterday that the producer on Everyone Loves A Happy Ending, Charlton Pettus, is someone Curt hooked up with during the split who produced some --- or perhaps all? --- of his solo stuff, someone Curt introduced to Roland who then liked Pettus enough to bring him on as producer

i remember you explaining about calling R. Raoul. it makes sense to me. he's exotic-looking and needs a more exotic name.
