I'm at Starbucks with my nifty iPod touch again. All was pleasant until a guy one table over started bloviating on how the US military should leave Iraq very soon so as to better permit the Iraqis to kill each other. In nearly the same breath he goes on about how blessed a Christian he is. A few minutes farther along a barista drops something and

So ... not that I ever go to Starbucks now that they have destroyed Coffee People ... but, which one was this taking place in?

And does he REALLY expect to get unadulterated coffee there ever again?

The Starbucks I frequent is on the north side of Medford, adjacent to a Barnes & Noble. Coffee People never made it this far south.

North side of Medford .... my brain hurts thinking of a Starbucks in Medford but I'm sure there must be some there now.

There's a huge change to that area, from when I lived down there. I worked as a dishwasher and prep cook at the Hungry Woodsman when it was still next door to Witham's Country Store. The entire approach to that area seems to have been razed to the ground and replaced.

And don't forget about Black Bird (except it was still there the last time I was in town.)

Yes, I don't miss Black Bird because I've shopped there recently. :)
