I just now realised that the danish word for a costume or outfit, dragt is very similar in look, and somewhat in meaning, to drag, in the sense of "clothes of the opposite gender". And also, that I've always been vague on where that particular meaning of drag came from ( Read more... )

Total stash:
That's easy right at the moment. I've just got a Pax wardrobe from Ikea (no hanging space, all shelves and pull-out plastic lidded bins), which is my new stash cupboard, and my stash takes up about 2/3 of it. Based on the dimensions, that would be 2/3 of a cubic metre of stash.
