Because apparently it's not obvious

I found myself ranting elsewhere, but it crystalised something for me:

Feminism will always* be required. And yes, feminism; not humanism or equalism or some other "compromise" word that backs away from distinguishing female humans from male humans.

Because feminism is about our right to control our lives. Which is particularly about the right to control our bodies. Which is ultimately about the right to control when and how we get pregnant.

And that's not a battle with the patriarchy. That's a battle with biology.

*For values of "always" that cover the entire history of biological organisms with sentience and two sexes, one of which carries a significantly greater reproductive burden.
