I'm going to grad school!
Yay. Its been decided I'm going to grad school and I think I'll do it next fall. I went and met with the people, filled out my application and sent out the appropriate transcripts and applied for financial aide. The district will pay for 1/2 of it and I'm super amazed at how cheap my Master's is going to be compared to my Bachelor's seriously folks its like $2000 a semester- how awesome is that? and SAC will pay for 1/2 of that. I'm getting off easy. I told my boss and he's excited for the opportunity but I think it makes him realize he's gonna get less 24 hour service from me from now on (not in a dirty way you silly minded people) but he'll have to share me with UTSA. I know I know its UTSA, but I can't leave and go to a nice fun private school again I have to keep my job and continue to inspire young minds with events and activities.
On another work related note- I've been designing our welcome back t-shirts the last two semesters, my spring ones were a great hit- people still ask for them and my fall ones are going to be just as great. They came in last week and they're dark grey and then written in camo letters the front says "Be Prepare" and the back says "SAC and army of 22,000" The students I've shown really love them. I'm uber excited.
I'm leaving for DC in two weeks and need to go get a tour book or something- my boss can't go with me anymore so I'm super nervous I hate traveling by myself I always get into trouble. But this is a women's conference so maybe it'll be better than the Vegas one- but my students are staying on campus and I'm staying in a hotel---oh goodness. So we'll see.
