Hello Livejournal. It's been a while, hasn't it?
And I'll just put the main news here without further ado - I've bought a flat.
Two bedrooms, new (well, two years old) building in Exeter city centre. And I've finally moved in (well, nearly two weeks ago now - but that's all been a little hectic, not to mention the lack of internet access in there so far).
I'd decided a while ago that I'd use that occasion to post on here again. I just wasn't expecting it to take this long - I/we (my parents suggested the idea and, really, bought the place) decided on the flat and signed the initial paperwork in July just after I graduated, soon after I got the PhD place here, and I was hoping to move in by September, October or so. It took until mid-January. Let me just say at this point that bankers, estate agents and solicitors will all be among the first against the wall when the revolution comes. We'll need a very long wall when that happens...
Well, here's the one picture of part of it that I happen to have on my cameraphone. I'll have to post some more at some point, especially of the lovely open plan kitchen/living room.
