passing rain shower
Right now it is raining outside - the huge raindrop kind of rain. Probably a quick passing shower. I just ran outside to get the clothes that were drying and it was wonderful. I opened the door and the old cat sprinted inside to the safety of no water, and I myself would have lingered outside had it not been for the still relatively dry clothes in my hands or the ominous rolling thunder that was almost continuous. The air smells clean and feels so light. Instead of hearing the constant hum of tires hitting Rt. 128, I can instead listen to tress swaying in the breeze, the pitter patter of rain hitting the pavement, the wind chimes. The sky is light and inviting. I feel happy.
