Last days... and a new beginning for April
Well, last Friday was the last day of me working at Directory Technology. I had been there about five years all up and I felt quite emotional to be leaving, even though it is for much better conditions with another company. It was strange emptying out my desk and then walking out of the building that final time. I felt a tug at my heart strings for the people I was leaving behind, but I left my home email so I hope people stay in touch.
Tomorrow (Monday) I will start working for a new company in the CBD (MailGuard) which will be fun. My official title will be PERL Developer and I shall be rewriting their billing systems. I feel so lucky to have got this job, but I have a good feeling that 2006 will be the year that I get things on track, pay my debts and have a wonderful time as April. I made that promise to myself.
In other news, I spoke to L the other day. She is good and seems calm about things. She has also met a nice guy and I think that is doing wonders for her. We had the divorce papers signed and notarized and she will follow that through. We just need at the moment to get on with our lives and put this situation behind us. She seems very happy at the moment and I am glad for her.
Things are going well living with Kassy and Jarrod. I get along really well with both of them... My kind of people. I've been missing some people though... cvisors I will catch up with you soon (both Kass and I) as we are looking forward to seeing you all again.
Oh, well... I guess that's it for updates for now... but I'll post tomorrow and let everyone know how my first day on the job goes.
