Christmas came and went on the the muggiest, hottest day of the year. I generally lazed around and did some reading, with barely enough energy to roll out of bed let alone get food. Present giving was a bit awkward given all the recent family drama (current situation is an uncomfortable and awkward reconciliation.) but it was followed by a really nice dinner out with some family friends. Today I went to the Fremantle markets and acquired an awesome summer skirt, had ice cream and generally indulged in the relaxed atmosphere that accompanies holidays. Now I'm just back from the beach. The warm weather, the cool breeze, sunset followed by the ship lights in the distance - it generally makes me feel so lucky to be in Perth right now. This was Nat's beach catch up and man, I'm going to pull out my inner highschooler and say I have the coolest friends EVER. Before you start questioning this, my friends play with FIRE. And have a sense of rhythm. And coordination. And are generally AWESOME. and just when you think, hey, ok, your friends are pretty cool, they throw in a pyrotechnics display into the mix.
Only downer was that Adon was called to a fire in Kirup. Fingers crossed he'll only be gone a day or two!
