If you call me Rick, thank you, that's what I like to be called.
If you call me Rich, you haven't been paying attention, but I probably won't correct you.
If you ask me if I like to be called Dick, I might respond with, "Do you?" I might apologize if you do . . .
If you call me Richard, I probably prefer a more professional relationship with you.
If you call me Honey, you must be Kim.
If you call me Papa, you are Gabe.
If you call me Osborne, you work with me. That's the way I answer my work phone when it rings once.
If you call me Brauburger, you served in the Navy with me before my legal name change.
If you call me Richard Alvy, you are my mom and you're pissed.
If you call me Papp, you went to highschool with me and called me by my stepfather's last name, which wasn't a legal name, but was mine for 12 years.
