GPA calculation issues (Double Major); Please Help!

Dec 18, 2009 20:23

I'm very confused right now. When they say "overall" GPA, they mean what GPA is listed at the bottom of your transcript, assuming you did not take courses after you completed your degree, correct? And when they say "Major GPA" they want to know what your GPA is for courses taken for your major, correct?

For this I'm very confused because I did a double-major and there was a substantial amount of overlap of courses between the two majors. In the first major I needed 48 credits in the major, and for the second major I needed 36, but I only ended up doing about 18, because there were many credits in the 48 that counted for my second major.
Any tips on how to calculate this? My biggest fear is I calculate it wrong, report it to the schools I'm applying to, then they calculate it another way, and then they think I lied about my GPA or something. Please help!

And in an unrelated question--where the heck are my GRE scores? Is it normal to wait beyond the "10-15" days they tell you it takes to receive the scores?
