conference/CV question
I recently got invited to speak at a conference overseas, but I can't scrape together enough money to make it (they would pay for the hotel and about half the flight, but I'd still be about $500 short). I'm assuming this means I can't put it on my CV, which is too bad since I was pretty stoked to be invited to present by random people I don't even know! Does that sound about right or is it acceptable to mention the invitation but say that I declined it (like a scholarship or grant)?
