New Media Studies programs?
So. I am majoring in English and double minoring in Art History as well as Screen Arts and Cultures (a Film Art studies program).
I'm wondering if you had any recommendations for good New Media (or just Media) Studies graduate programs. I'm primarily interested in media theory (or art theory), not so much practice. I know that there are a bunch of New Media programs out on the East Coast, and I've been looking into The New School, and NYU.
Are there any places you'd recommend? Are there any places you would NOT recommend?
And, another question: Do you have any advice on how to sell myself in my Statements of Purpose for these programs? I made it so that my majors and minors would be, when put together, somewhat interdisciplinary. I discovered a little too late that my interests lie in art, film, and media theory, and I was almost finished with the English major by the time I came to this point of understanding.
