I'm so glad I found this community!
I'm an English major, currently looking into MA/Ph.D programs. I know my main research interest is Children's Literature, but it's not the most common of interests. Some of the really good schools I want to apply to do not currently have faculty researching in the field. Is it worth applying to them and guising my research under the more general subjects they require? (20th cen lit for instance) or will it hurt me greatly to not have faculty researching in my field?
