I know there are nine million posts like this, but since there is some specificity to my questions, this is post number nine million and one. ;)
I am currently on track to graduate Spring 2010 (fingers crossed that my department doesn't cut the last class I need). I will be graduating with a BA in History and Political Science. I plan on continuing on for a MA in History at the same school. The deadline for my grad school app is early in 2010, so I need to take the GRE sometime this summer/fall.
For those of you who have taken the GRE, how long did you actually study for it? Would devoting time over the summer be "good enough" to get a decent score? Did any of you take it during the school year? I want to get the best possible score and I am worried that if I try to take it this fall my attention might be split between it and my classes. On the other hand, I'm worried that if I try to take it over the summer that I may not have studied enough. I am probably worrying too much...
Also, which study guides did you find the most helpful? I've heard good things about Kaplan and mediocre reviews of Princeton. I am not terrible at math, but it's not my favorite subject, so recommendations for a "user-friendly" math study guide would also be much appreciated!
Thank you!
