Am I A Literature Loner?
I am an English Literature major who just graduated in December with my B.A. Last month I sent out my last of seven applications. So far, I have received an acceptance letter from one Ph.D. program. I am really excited about it--it is one of only two Ph.D. programs that I applied for. However, I am still waiting for news on a fellowship from this school and news from the six other programs that I applied to. My question is--are there any other Literature people out there who have been accepted to a program? I heard that the English programs typically take longer than other disciplines to make decisions, yet I have already received an acceptance letter directly from the department. If there are any Literature heads out there who can help me please do.
