NYU - Extension to deadline
First let me say that I have been a longtime reader of this site, so thanks for all the incredible information and insight you guys have provided its been a real inspiration.
I'm applying to film theory programs (MA), the list of schools was pretty short, and made even shorter when I missed the NYU deadline, which I had made peace with.
Anyway the other day I received a strange email form NYU stating that due to the fact that many people had found their early admissions deadline difficult to stick to, they were extending their deadline to January for those of us who had already started the online application process.
This seems very strange. Has anyone else experienced something like this, any insight? Could it be that those private schools really are struggling to fill places this year cos of the economy?
Hmmmm, now I dont know if i'm going to apply or not, had kind of wanted to get out of the city!
