Not a troll. Feeling sheepish at the moment, though.
Nonetheless, it's good to hear - I was a bit perplexed on what grad school would go on, since I won't have a transcript or grades in any particular sense, and yet it made far less sense to me than it did to my mother that APs/high school grades would count.

I'm in grad school, went to a US undergrad, but not one of the 10 or so schools I applied too or opened applications at asked about my high school. If you're already accepted at Oxford, your high school grades don't matter.

Also, it's Oxford. The competitive American schools will be fine with your degree, and probably impressed with it. Much more impressive than where I got my BA. And it's famous enough, and respected enough, that the different grading process won't be a problem. Depending on your field, your grad adviser and many profs might have gone through non-American school systems as well.

And check out if Oxford cares about the AP exams. If they don't, then you really shouldn't be stressing out about it.

Oxford does/did - I took APs last year, and got an unconditional offer based on those. It's the upcoming ones I'm iffy about. I don't know how applying without a transcript would work, but I'm sure enough people have done it to make it perfectly feasible...

I have never heard of graduate schools asking for high school transcripts. As for your lack of "grades," your letters of recommendation will probably be given more weight for your application, as well as your scores on whatever graduate admissions test your field requires.

In any case, I really doubt they'll hold it against you that you went to Oxford.

Ah, but she'll be able to legally have a beer at Oxford next year! :)

I wish someone told me this in high school. I'd probably have less gray hair at 21.
