When I took the general GRE, I'm not sure that I picked the right departments. Some schools are really vague about which department they want scores sent to, if any, and some say psych department but then I got confused about whether I should have sent it to the psych department or a specific psych department (I/O, Social, etc). And I'm a dork and didn't even know what schools I was applying to when I signed up for the subject test, and didn't realize till I looked at my ticket last night that I was sending 4 scores to only 2 different schools (2 departments each, as I was unsure). Go me. Anyway, are most schools really picky, or if it gets sent to the wrong place will it find its way eventually?
P.S. One of my schools asks for "a one- or two-page personal statement addressed to "Graduate Committee Chairperson," describing your areas of interest in psychology and your career plans." This sounds more like a statement of purpose to me. So I'm not quite sure what to write about. What do you think? I'll be writing both eventually, but this school only wants that.
