reinstating cancelled score

for the general gre, on the ets website, it says you can cancel your score, but reinstate it for $30 within 60 days of the test date. i'm just wondering if anyone has done this before. after you finish the test and cancel your test score, do you get to view your score for the verbal + quantitative sections? i'm thinking that maybe i should cancel my score if i don't think it went well but reinstate it if i did better than i thought.
