I guess it's been a while since I've watched mainstream television...I was struck by the adverts for chainsaws. I can't help wonder how that configures to approaching winter, high heating oil prices, and declining purchasing power.

Definitely quite good, with rather entertaining;y unsurprised friends of hte protagonist. Still, the overall concept feels like a riff off of the good old Bedazzled with Dudley Moore and Peter Cook.

Channel flipping last night got me hooked on a murder mystery set in the middle of London's Great Smog - Jericho...a touch of LA Confidential in postwar London, with a smaller budget, but with it's own star power*.
