What an interesting, musical, escapist film from the war years in Germany. Perhaps akin to others made that year. The first film I've seen in this year's Berlin & Beyond film festival. What can I say? It's urban street tough, very well acted, short, sharp, shocking, and hard-hitting. It doesn't take any easy avenues, and shows how interwoven all these characters lives are, and how fundamentally flawed and human they are. This film rates as one of the better ( Read more... )
