Poll Fitness Craze - Again ---
Some background:
Thankfully the office gym is open to cyclists for showering and changing. Now that I have fixed up my bike, I plan to make that commute by cycle, as soon as the
weather improves. Currently, by walking, I average walking home, about 3 miles distance (plus one bloody big hill climb), twice a week.
The office gym's membership is relatively cheap, about $30 a month, and quite no-frills. Barren wall, no windows, spartan showering & changing facilities, very BYO supplies. Its fitness programs are very good, and very crowded.
Club One has many more amenities, including swimming pool, sauna, and well-supplied showers. Is very nearby, and is even throwing in a heart monitor for new members. It'll rate around $70 a month. I imagine their fitness classes are very good, but I have no idea how crowded. Oh, also, usable on weekends, which is not possible with the office gym.
For my part:
I could do with a weekly fitness regime, twinned to a physical commute, and the socialisation of classes to maintain that discipline.
Realistically, I can see being able to devote mornings/daytime/evenings for the rest of February and March, a bit less so in April, and the chaos of May rendering that quite impossible.
