yard stuff
So, today I spent some time (and money) in Home Depot. I came out with several exciting things and several mundane things.
Firstly, my Rosemary bush has some new friends
I bought and potted sage, tarragon, parsley, and basil.
Also, my fabulous roommate installed a new front porch light, which went from this:
to this:
I think it is a VAST improvement.
I really enjoyed the process of potting my new plants. I really do love spending time outdoors gardening, even though I don't do it much. I'd like to do more, and I am really focusing on plants that I can enjoy in the kitchen as well as outdoors. In addition to these herbs, I've been thinking about a fall garden of tomatoes, squash, and perhaps lettuce and beans. I have a tendency to over commit to things, but I am thinking that with all these improvements I will want to spend more time at home and in my yard. I do hope that I can make some friends that will enjoy coming over to hang out, as I do actually like to entertain at home.
Tomorrow will be another big work day.
