I find a few modern companies that just "get it" and provide excellent customer support. Amazon, Netflix, and apparently Virgin America to name a few. They provide outstanding customer support. When I see those things I try to be a cheer leader for those companies. It seems that a lot of the older companies don't really care about your business. Most of the them ignore, and take you money. Car rentals are a weird thing. I think the thing is insurance related. The car rental companies have a blanket policy of noone under 26 (I believe) because if they did all 21 year olds, their insurance rates would be thru the roof. Obama and Clinton? I don't like it. Clinton represents too much of the same political insider mentality of her husband. I know Obama isn't far from that, but he's not as connected as Clinton. I think it would be a great thing if he chose a respected woman in the Democratic Party that was not Clinton. I don't know who that might be, but a woman would be an excellent choice as running mate. (Ewww. Running mate? I think that word would have to be changed in this context.)

Well, I don't know, there are some "older" companies that occasionally provide stellar support. There are some new ones that are jackasses. I don't get why more of them can't provide excellent support. I mean, most people are probably like me. If something goes wrong, I bitch a lot whenever I get the chance. If something goes well, I recommend it to others. If something goes beyond what I'd consider "good customer service", I won't shut up about it ;) That kind of advertising is probably the best..if a friend directly told me I absolutely had to go with company x because they're so awesome, I'm inclined to go with company x instead of any other company at least once to see if it's true. Seeing an ad on TV isn't going to do much for me if I've already established a comfortable relationship with a competitor.
And yeah, it's insurance related, but if you have your own insurance some of them are willing to rent to you. And it's 25 I think, some companies will do 21 with a surcharge. Some states called that age discrimination and so states like new york have a minimum age of 18 (but the rental companies rip you off bigtime for that). Being 19 and in california with no such laws, I'm stuck :) But my insurance+credit card covers it all afaik..hence I think I'm going to be able to rent one.
Um, there's only one big name respected woman democrat I can think of off the top of my head, and that's pelosi. Personally I don't find THAT much of a difference between obama and clinton that I don't care who's president and VP, ffs after 8 years of bush I realllllllly don't. Maybe I'm too disillusioned, this whole obama/clinton thing was getting disgusting.
