BRUNO/DARK GLASS/ANTINOMY/JOHNNY

Biological Functions
  • Somatosensory: He’s obviously capable of feeling physical pain, thanks Jack.
  • Capable of eating: One word: Ramen
  • Sneezing = Reflexes: ...I swear that Bruno wasn't intended to be human in the creators' original blueprint.
  • All the other normal human body anatomical parts… including reproductive organs: Concerning the reproductive organs part, I don’t really think they WORK or anything. Bruno might anatomically have a peN0rz but it’s not like he can get Sherry anyone pregnant. Logically speaking, Bruno had to possess at least the bare minimum traits of a biologically functioning human otherwise he couldn't pull off pretending to be one so well. After all, amnesiac!Bruno was able to fool himself, his three roommates, and cats-creatures that have a very keen detection of smell-into thinking that he was human. Plus he obviously went to the bathroom and stuff. I mean if ramen goes in one end, it has to go out the other end. The alternative option is that Z-one just had too much time on his hands and installed a mechanism in Bruno’s body that turns ramen into energy.
Robot Installation Pack Features
  • Enhanced strength and reflexes: Going ROBOT NINJA all over Sherry's ass like what. Dude that shit is brutal.
  • Bidirectional signaling connection with his bike: He summoned Delta Eagle from the bottom of the ocean with a signal emitted from his eyes.
  • Weakness = electricity: Bruno goes into his glowy eyes!mode when Sherry pulls a taser on him. Though, I was always under the impression glowy eyes!mode was some self-defense program that Z-ONE installed to make sure the derpbot didn’t short-circuit himself while rescuing a cat from the power lines or something.
  • He can change his voice: To be honest, I don’t know if it’s the binary coding that makes him go down a pitch or if he’s just doing it for the mentally retarded individuals in the audience.
  • (Delta) Accel Synchro and (Top) Clear Mind?: ...what am I supposed to make of this?
  • Capable of altering outward physical appearance: DAGU GARASU HENSHIN SEQUENCE! His binary code is green.

THE THREE TENORS AND THEIR COLLECTIVE PHILOSOPHICAL MEGA-FORM

Biological Functions
  • Somatosensory: Capable of feeling sensations such as pain, if their turbo duels are anything to go by.
  • Capable of eating…?: Not gonna lie, but when Placido did his whole 'being torn apart' stint, I didn’t see a digestive system in there or anything. There was an instance where student!Lucciano asked Butler!Placido for drinks…??
  • Android Eunuchs: I don’t care what the fanart or my inner fangirl says. The tenors are not equipped down there. Placido's bodysuit is wayyyyy to tight for a bulge to not exist down there. Someone prove me wrong. PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG.
  • The title of this TV trope summarized it up so well: I always believed the Tenors being a very different type of android from Bruno... especially seen with Placido, where we get this amazing fan disservice view of his body, thus prompting the question-IS ANY PART OF HIS BODY ORGANIC AT ALL?
"Technology" in the future is so advanced it's become a synonym for "magic"
  • Capable of altering outward physical appearance: Butler!Placido and Student!Lucciano. Also! Similar to Bruno’s transformation into Dark Glass, Placido can also alter his outfit via a red binary code-although the change in his clothing is much less significant compared to DG… and his voice doesn’t change either.
  • Fusion of their respective vehicles for card game-playing purposes: ALL FOUR OF ‘EM. Lucciano does not have feet. He has rollerblades instead. Placido's stripper boats contain hidden data ports that attach to his D-wheel after his legs does this nightmare fuel transformation thing. Jose's legs can do a 90 degrees bend.... FROM THE WAIST.
  • Summoning of the Infinity Circuit to inflict real damage during a duel: ALSO ALL FOUR OF ‘EM. I don’t think this works outside aforementioned card game, however.
  • Control of the Time-Space Continuum via Momentum MacGuffin Machine: I think it requires said MacGuffin Machine to actually work, though?
  • Space-traveling Portal Teleportation: A note about Placido is that we only see him create portals with his sword. And the fact Lucciano was able to cut open a portal with his sword too implies that the ability is not ingrained within Placido himself (unlike Lucciano and Jose), but rather in the sword itself. (This is up for debate as well.)
  • Enhanced Strength: Lucciano was capable of taking on Mizoguchi and he’s only, like... 12. And just. Jose. Do you have any idea how much those motorcycles probably cost? And just with ONE arm. His strength is clearly superhuman.
  • Built-in Compartment Space: Placido has his wrist dealer-esque deck contraption built into the gem in his arm. Jose has a duel disk built into his chest/abdomen.
  • Telepathy: Demonstrated between Jose and Placido on numerous occasions when grandpa!tenor wants to rein in angry!tenor’s ego theatrics. Also, with Z-ONE and Aporia when the latter gets repaired. I’m going to put Aporia’s weird out-of-body flashback experience under telepathy considering the fact we see none of the Signers (and Bruno) actually LEFT their bodies.
  • Weather controlling abilities: Placido and purple thunder. Wisel summoned a tornado too. Also Aporia and purple thunder.
Individual Powers
  • Technopathy: Placido can interact with and manipulate other machinery without actually touching them. (i.e. Duel bots/Ghosts, the duel robot guard, etc.)
  • Forging: Lucciano can create replicas of cards. It’s an imperfect technique, however, as Red Demon Dragon was off-color. He can also impersonate other people. I’m unsure if Placido can pull this one off. He seems to be able to change his outward appearance to some random guy that he probably made up-but changing your appearance to match a preexisting person’s requires less creativity and more replicating/copying.
  • Combustion Feet: Go, Jose, go!
  • Needs moar lazer beamz: Aporia can launch beams from his body.
  • Telekinesis: Jose displayed this at least on two occasions (and surprisingly, the same episode). Once to life dead!Placido up, and the other to stop his stone tablet from falling on everyone.
  • Deus Ex Machina: Aporia’s duel disk (which was originally the rod that hung Lucciano’s shower curtain) could make Yuusei Go DEFY GRAVITY.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
  • Bruno’s code is green. Placido’s code is red. Aporia’s code that combines all three duel runners to form Trinidart Ouroboros… is also green. Is this significant at all? No? Okay.
  • Why are everyone’s android forms left-handed when they were clearly right-handed as humans?
  • What is up with the red mark on Placido’s face after he gets killed by Yuusei (and then subsequently repaired)?
  • ... it's never canonically explained why all three of the tenors' hair and eye colors vastly differ from one another's to the point where it's biologically impossible for them to be related. The hair color discrepancy between Lucciano and Placido can easily be explained away as shock-Aporia's naturally red hair turned to white from the shock and pain of losing his parents and eventually greyed in old age. However, I can't think of any way to explain how someone can biologically have green, red, and gold eyes throughout a single life time. Colored contact lens?
