shameless ploy for help.
So, in further efforts of procrastination from writing my memo, I was reading a bunch of stuff on livejournal (as usual), when all of a sudden it dawned on me: my layout freakin' blows.
Now, I would love to remedy this on my own, but see...I suck at this html crap, AKA have no interest in spending 6 hours figuring out what I forgot from high school programming classes.
SO--I was wondering if any one of my lovely LJ friends would like to help me out with a new layout? You would be my hero for life (well, after the wonderful guy who just gave me a crapload of Jennifer Nettles music...it'd be hard to top that). Here's what I'm looking for:
I want the following picture as the heading:
With the words "a view from brooklyn" written in all lower-case letters, in a script-like font (like lucida handwriting or something nicer than that), on the right hand side of the water.
I think it'd be nice with a grey page background, white text boxes, and black lettering in the entries and whatever. The font for the page should be easy to read but somewhat classic I guess.
Basically, as long as you use the photo and the words "a view from brooklyn" and wipe out all the other crap I have as headings and whatever, I'd love it and, therefore, love you forever.
If anyone feels like doing this, I'd really appreciate it; if not, I TOTALLY understand! THANK YOU!
