What's the opposite of FML?

I had a very long day, there was "fail" involved, for sure, I'm exhausted, and I'm coming down with a cold that may be the (non-swine) flu. Yet, when walking into my room just now to go to bed, I couldn't help but think, "I FUCKING LOVE MY LIFE ( Read more... )

Hey Laura... I'm so glad that you're in a good place right now and happy with life. You're a good person and you deserve happiness! I hope this happiness sticks around for awhile... I do agree that you have a bright future ahead, so I see more positive things ahead :) And, while university/school of other sorts certainly has its benefits and well...its PLACE in life...IMHO life gets a LOT better after it!! (when you're working you're doing what you studied, only you're in a position of responsibility/control/respect, you get PAID for it, and your free time is *gasp* truly FREE since you don't have to study or write papers!!) And...you don't have much further to go, to test out that theory... :) Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I went to university AND nursing school. HOWEVER...it's so much better after...and being in school so long will REALLY make you appreciate it :)

We may be on the peripheraries (sp?) of each others' lives, but you matter to me, and your feelings matter to me...I'm happy if things are good for you!

P.S. I FEEL what you're saying about, "no, I know clothes/hair aren't the biggest thing..." sort of like...almost apologetic_, like, "I know I'm mentioning them, but don't think I think they're #1 or anything"...I do the same thing!! lol, I KNOW clothes and hair aren't your #1 priority or that you think it's more important than your job or something...but I agree that if you get some clothes/a new haircut/color and it makes you feel good about yourself...we shouldn't discount those things, either!! If you walk into a situation (ie, new job, a party with new ppl, whatever) feeling confident because you feel/look great, your actions will be that of a confident person and positive things will follow from that (impressions, etc.). Just...everything will seem better! If know I feel ugly, I'm not going to talk to a guy my age who strikes up a conversation...if I feel good am dressed in clothes I like, have remembered to pluck my eyebrows, etc. I'll feel confident enough to talk back...and it's not that I think I'm unworthy if I don't look great, it's just...hard to explain, but you get it, i'm sure... you just feel more ABLE or something, when you feel like you look great! AAAACK! that was hard to say... (lol, also...I know that if I wear my striped socks...I feel happy and feel like ME. If I were to wear skinny jeans (which I do NOT own) I might look "in style" but i hate them so I'd feel awkward and like a moron...)
