What a great show Dexter is - original, exciting and unpredictable. No-one in the show is quite who they seem to be and there is just enough (black) humour to balance the horrific crimes. No, this is a drama about a forensic blood splatter expert who is a serial killer in his spare time! Strangely, he has a strong moral code and only kills criminals who have escaped the justice system (not that that makes it OK). Here is the official website:

Dexter is played by Michael C Hall from Six Feet Under. The supporting cast is also very strong - all the characters have a hidden side to their nature, which is one of the themes of the show.

As a follow-up, last night I watched the latest episode of Dexter on NZ TV, then had a series of dreams in which I was Dexter himself. My dream Dexter-self had an array of superpowers such as invisibility, which he used to sneak around his crime scenes.

Maybe that's why I like the show so much - Dexter may represent my Shadow-self, as I am also a Forensic Scientist - though not a serial killer!!!

Haha!! Thanks for qualifying that last statement, we weren't quite sure ;-) I absolutely LOVE Dexter! We bought the whole box set of the first series and watched it back to back - the soundtrack is superb! As well as the intro titles sequence - so well thought out!

My sister is an INTJ and there are plenty of parallels there. Re. what you were saying earlier about INTJs - its not that they don't feel, they do but they just won't naturally prioritise this because it doesn't always feel like "valid" data. Not sure if I am explaining that well...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've known INTJs to act against their own best interests in the name of objectivity. Not something we INFJs are prone to do!
