The 30 things you missed at the Milan gigs
Since there's nothing that could make me write a complete review of the breathtaking gigs I've been, and I'm still going through a terrible PCD which will probably go away only for the next concert and then come back in a snap... here you'll find the 30 THINGS you missed! Especially for
darkestangelspn and
luzestrellera who wheren't there... (if this thing should happen, the world would probably go reverse.. XD)
(please, don't count how many times I do say "Tomo"... you might get scared!)
1. The "it should have been longer" Acoustic Session!
Instead of 5 songs, they played only one 'cause the instruments arrived late. Yet we had an amazing TOMO, shy and tender as always ^^ Jared stopped singing at half of The Kill and said: "this is Tomo's verse". A friend of mine said "Sing, Tomo, sing!" ... and he blushed and hug the guitar saying "No!No!No! I'm not going to!"
2. In the backstage there were two half-undressed girls. And no, they were not there for Shannon. Nor for Tomo. Nor for Tim. Gotcha, Jay!
3. During "O Fortuna" Shannon came on stage behind the curtain and played drums. I had an heart attack!
4. Jared tried to command to the crowd to make a circle in the venue to dance and scream. He started giving advices and directions, yet nobody moved... because ITALIANS DON'T KNOW ENGLISH at all, mostly the fangirls! So he just crossed his arms for a while (interrupting from yesterday, that asshole!!) and then understood. Quick of wit, hun?
5. A girl probably felt sick in the first row, so Jared interrupted the concert (AGAIN) and started giving precious advices to people in case they felt dizzy or what. "If people fall down don't walk on them, lift them up and give them something to drink or ask for help..."
So, to make people see how nice he was, he threw a bottle of water in the middle of the crowd.
10 to 1 that he hit someone in the head!
6. THEY PLAYED BUDDHA FOR MARY. And they played it dirty, hard and long. I landed on Mars for real.
7. THEY PLAYED "PRESSURE". And if that's not the title, who cares. "Can't take all that pressure", the one they played in Brazil.. yet we had the better version! Yay!
8. The self/titled was a Mirage. Except for Buddha For Mary, only 3 songs (or better, the refrain) were played acoustic by Jay himself. And who knows what Tomo and Shannon were doing backstage.. MWHAHAHA!
9. No signin line. The band totally RUNAWAY, RUNAWAY... 'cause Jared, along the queue in front of the venue, came and split on one of the fake tees. The vendors out there wanted to PUNCH AND PUNISH him... so there was a real ARMY of policemen out of the Alcatraz after the show! Prissy primadonna... XD
10. During the queue of the 13th we did almost everything to make time pass... yet the fun came for the BLOOD TIME! I was jumping here and there, painting people and covering them in blood. My white gloves turned red in a minute! Yet I found my vocation: THE RIPPER. I am good at ripping, hurting, raping, cutting, splitting, cutting and MORE! Beware of me...
11. I totally TOOK FLIGHT to the first row. My feet touched the ground only 4 times. That is what I mean when I say: run for your lives!
12. The supporting band was a duo (The.. Full Duplex? Were they?) who played some sort of Hardcore-electric-metal and the singer was totally gone. I'm sure he had a stripe of cocaine as long as the Route 66 before coming out. We all thought he wanted to hang himself with the mic. If only he did...
13. Before going away, the singer said: "I wanted to thank 30secondstomars, and especially Jared Leto.. bla bla..". Ok, boy. It doesn't matter who you are, where you'll go, what you'll do: YOU WILL ALWAYS BE KNOWN AS JARED' SECRET LOVER. May I get an AMEN?
14. Tomo has 3 GIBSON LES PAUL. Three, not one. THREE! *faints*
15. When they started AGAIN with The Battle of One after O Fortuna, I was scared that they would have done the same setlist of the previous gig. They played From Yesterday too and I got really scared (even thought Jared didn't interrupt it for doing something weird <3). Then they played Savior, and I felt lifted!
16. Tomo came on stage with a golden mask. Yet, when he appeared, he was giving the shoulders to the public and was sort of dancing. ON HIS BACK THERE'S A MAP OF THE WORLD.
17. Tomo played almost half an hour with his tongue sticked out. And we all know that Tomo's tongue has a life of its own.
18. While waving his tongue, he looked at me. He was really CLOSE. So, when someone sticks out his tongue at you, what do you do? Stick it out back, of course! He paused... and sticked it out again, staring at me. My heart didn't beat for a few minutes.
19. Looking at Tomo's hands while playing riffs and chords is something hypnotic. He goes way beyond talent.
20. I have never had the chance to see 30secondstomars playing live so close, so that was MY FIRST-FIRST ROW!
21. Jared's eyes have no color. They're grey. Pure water. When he came in front of us singing, it seemed that he wasn't looking at something in particular. With those eyes, I'm sure he can see BEYOND things.
22. They played something "NEW" before doing R-evolve. Yet I thought that it was some sort of addition, but that was ANOTHER SONG!
23. Jared going acoustic has been amazing this time. He sang an old blues song, totally breathtaking. He had a voice like no one ever. I was like... my mouth totally open and staring at him, I simply couldn't believe. And as far as I understood the words, it's also a beautiful song.
24. Tomo was backstage in the dark. I glanced at him and.. started screaming: "He has the violin!! He has the violin!!" When he came on stage we all started screaming: "TOMO! TOMO! TOMO!" So.. What did Jared do? Crossed his arms and stared! JEALOUS DIVA! And Tomo started to wave like "Stop screaming or he might get really upset!!"
25. Jared started playing the first verse of A Modern Myth. Tomo played ONE NOTE with the violin and... Jared stopped the song. And gave some lessons to a girl in front of him who answered the phone! Tomo was sort of laughing and Shannon came to him and started teasing him before playing! Yet, when Tomo played the violin, he was the owner of the scene. Jared tried screaming some more "Goodbye" in A Modern Myth (and we all thought he lost the count of 'em), but Tomo was the leader! Take that and bring it home!
26. Screaming round. Tomo screamed, Jared screamed, Tim barfed something and.. SHANNON SCREAMED. But that was not a normal scream. And since he was surely going commando under that skirt... MWHAHAHAHA and with Tomo teasing.. you can guess...
27. During Hunter, Jared started dancing just like a belly dancer, approached the mic and with that "Sleep-with-me-Alexander" voice said: "does anyone want to dance with me tonight? And danced, waved and moved for the whole song! He also approached Tomo, but received only a "WTF?"-look. Nono, Jay, Tomo doesn't want you..
28. Jared experiments the centrifugal force on stage and Tomo goes wild on The Fantasy. What a spectacle!
29. Shannon is the best drummer ever. If you look at him he's almost SCARY. He has such a power and strenght I am worried he could crush someone's skull with one drumstick. And yet, when he played the whole circle of drums (almost 47 elements) it took him almost 5 minutes. And he was beating QUICKLY.
Also, during The Kill, Jared started one of his speeches about the fake merchandise, Shannon stood up and started waving his drumsticks in the air. I was like "Is he ever gonna hit something or what?" ...and when the lights got up I saw that he was playing the analogic pad in front of him! I'm sorry Shannon if I thought you weren't able to play any longer!!
30. When the went away it was like loosing your place home. It was like moving away from your hometown. So I'll be a stranger in a stranger land until the next gig.
